National Archives Photography

This collection includes images available through the National Archives.  Most are housed in the Still Pictures Branch in their College Park, Maryland, facility, but may come from other sources as well. Most of these images were taken by employees of the U.S. Light-House Board, Bureau of Lighthouses, and U.S. Coast Guard. They are in the public domain so are unrestricted in terms of use. The main collection of lighthouse images have been digitized and are available through the National Archives Catalog.  See a post about the RG 26-LG collection at <https://uslhs.wordpress.com/2017/02/22/large-national-archives-collection-of-lighthouse-photographs-now-available-online/>.
