The newly completed Keepers cottages, built by George W. Brown of West Palm Beach for $21,500. They also built the storehouses, the oil house, dock and boathouse. From left to right is the 2nd Assistant, 1st Assistant and Head Keeper's cottage. The head keepers cottage no longer exists. The tower was electrified in 1932 and soon the 2nd Assistant position was eliminated. The keepers moved over one house, and the head keepers cottage and store house were put up for auction. Only two bids came in, with the winning bid of $151.00 coming  from neighbor, Herbert Malcom, owner of the Hillsboro Club. They were moved in 1934.
