From the National Archives site: "Caption: Southwest Pass Light Station, Louisiana. The pile work from near the turn-table, looking towards SW corner. Pile #88 in the driver. Pile-heads sawed off to within about 2 feet of their final level. The platform for the other driver is laid on the pile-heads. Six more piles are required to finish the righthand (western) half of the foundation."
