From the National Archive site: "Caption: About 11:35 AM. Looking from ruins of Oceanic Hotel N'ly at beach & tower, and is intended to cover Mr. Conway's photo #10 of May 30, 1921. Ruins had washed down so elevation is not so great & probably stood closer to tower. Beach has gained somewhat. Weather very bright, wind from West; half low tide, etc."
