7/28 - Buffalo N.Y. The Lighthouse at the north entrance to Buffalo Harbor was moved over twenty feet and is tilting at 15 degrees after it was hit by the str. Frontenae late 7/26. The lighthouse was protected by it's foundation but the impact left the interior of the building a shambles. A collision chamber in the bow of the ship kept water from entering the main hull and the ship was able to leave for dry dock in Ashtabula Ohio. UPI telephoto
