Norman Kenneth Bagger, Jr. passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017, surrounded by his family after a 5 year battle with cancer. He was 75 years old. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to his parents, Frances (Rattray) and Norman Kenneth Bagger, Sr. After Norman graduated from Plant High School in Tampa, Florida in 1960, he enlisted in the U. S. Coast Guard in April of 1961 and honorably served his country for 22 years, most notably during the Cuban Conflict and automating Eldred Rock Lighthouse in Alaska in 1973. His military career led to him being stationed at many different bases, from Hawaii to Japan. During this time, he married Sandra Warren and enjoyed married life and raising their three children. After retiring from the Coast Guard, he worked for Blake’s Machine and Design before becoming a truck driver and traveling with his wife for many years.
