In the above photograph, Head keeper William Auld (left) and first assistant Henry Hill (right) from Yaquina Head are shown in their United States Lighthouse Service uniforms at the 1935 Pacific International Livestock Exposition in Portland. They are standing on either side of a 4th order Fresnel lens from Desdemona Sands Lighthouse.
