More Information

Comments:
Lighthouse was sold at auction in 1917 and sold again in 1938. Over the years the buildings were added on to, enlarging the site facilities. The Stone's owned the facility and began taking on overnight guests to help pay the mortgage, leading the way to becoming an inn.
  • On August 7, 1989 a light was lit in the lantern for the first time in 75 years. It is not an active aid to navigation, and only lit when the inn is open from May 1 to October 31.
