1818 TOWER MOVED TO A NEW SITE IN 1872, A NEW KEEPERS ERECTED IN 1872 AND DEMOLISHED IN 1889, ANOTHER KEEPERS ERECTED 1890 TO ACCOMODATE 2 FAMILIES

-Despite calls from the public to move the lighthouse due to erosion, action wasn't taken. A violent storm on March 29, 1984 with hurricane force winds hit and destroyed the lighthouse
