Comments:

The property was made available to a new owner under the guidelines of the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, but there were no applicants. As a result, it was put up for sale via online auction in May 2014. The auction ended in September 2014 with a high bid of $283,000. The new owner, Ford Reiche, has accomplished the repair of the boat landing ramp, and the complete exterior and interior restoration of the attached two-story wooden building. The tower has been repointed and the interior has been painted.
