The lighthouse has appeared in at least two films, 1967's Wild Rebels and 1987's Uninvited. In Wild Rebels, the interior was used, while the exteriors were filmed at Cape Florida. While filming, the Hillsboro Light Station also welcomed Dick Clark's Where The Action Is, which allowed the films' star, Steve Alamo, to perform on site. In Uninvited, the lighthouse is used as an establishing shot, supposedly on a Caribbean Island.
