This light is adjacent to Fort Stark, a public park located at the end of Wild Rose Lane in New Castle. The light is past the fort at the end of a breakwater, about a ten-minute walk from the parking area. As of 2018 the current structure is a post light with two triangular daymarks, with the number "4."
