Comments:

In 1975, the Fresnel lens was removed and the lighthouse was replaced by an automatic light on a nearby skeleton tower. The property was licensed in early 2000 to the American Lighthouse Foundation (ALF). On October 2, 2001, the lighthouse was officially relighted. Ownership of the light station was eventually transferred to the American Lighthouse Foundation.
