Seven Foot Knoll Light Station -

Historic Significance: High. The Seven Foot Knoll Light Station is the earliest extant screwpile lighthouses in the United States.  It is the only screwpile lighthouse built with a circular iron plate keeper’s quarters; all the other screwpile dwellings are square or rectangular wooden cottage-like structures (the circular iron dwelling found on the Craighill Channel Lower Front Range Lighthouse is a caisson type lighthouse, not a screwpile type).

Historic Integrity: Low to Moderate.  The structure has been moved from its original location, and the screwpile foundation from the waterline down was left in place.
