Made from a wind turbine tower that had fallen off the truck during transportation and therefore discarded. It was purchased and shipped to the retreat. Local schools helped design the lantern, stairs, etc. A light was donated by Rader Airfield and can be seen for 30 miles. It is a registered Aid to Navigation for pilots and aircraft.
